Modern fabrics and an emphasis on plaids are among the defining characteristics of the new line. Between the looks unveiled and the venue, against the backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea, the show gave the guests an impression of freshness and lightness.
The choice of location is significant, as the collection reflects the spirit of the French Riviera, namely in its colors and textures. Simons emphasized shimmer and contrasting textures, along with layering effects, while maintaining an overall tone of breeziness and modernity.
The collection was dominated by blouses, wide-legged pants, short skirts and a modern take on the iconic Dior Bar Suit. Very summery, the dresses have elements of 1960s style but remain contemporary.

Patterns, and especially plaids, were seen throughout the show, often with metallic effects. In terms of colors, black and white were fairly present, along with shades inspired by the landscapes of the Côte d’Azur — namely blues, reds, pinks and browns.
Held two days before the opening of the Cannes Film Festival, the show was attended by several celebrities, including French actress and Dior spokesmodel Marion Cotillard, as well as Cressida Bonas, Zoë Kravitz, Dakota Fanning and, of course, Pierre Cardin.
