The Italian designer has rebranded the CLASS Roberto Cavalli collection. First launched in 1997 Cavalli’s so-called bridge line has been renamed Cavalli CLASS, and rebranded with a new logo.
“I wanted to highlight the Cavalli name in the logo of this collection which has always given me incredible creative and commercial satisfactions,” said the 72-year-old designer. “This is a way to draw it even closer to the world, the fantasies and the imagination from which all the Cavalli collections originate.”
In honor of the name change, the designer has put together a special capsule collection for Spring 2014. The collection was inspired by the cinematic culture of the 1950s and the era’s glamorous movie stars including Anna Magnani, Ava Gardner, Ginger Rogers, Joan Collins and Fay Wray.
Dominated by colorful prints, including the maison’s traditional ‘Colour Stripes Snake’ animal print, the collection features feminine wide tulip skirts, plexiglass accessories and printed bags.
