58th London International Boat Show
January 6-15 –Ā London, United Kingdom
London’s January Boat Show takes place both in and out of the water at the ExCeL Centre in the British capital’s Docklands area. Expect names such as Sunseeker, Fairline, Brunswick and Princess to be in attendance.
43rd Boot DĆ¼sseldorf
January 21-29 –Ā DĆ¼sseldorf, Germany
Second only to Genoa in terms of visitor numbers, the BootĀ DĆ¼sseldorfĀ show welcomes visitors from all over Germany and further afield.
Look out for a huge variety of watersports exhibitors and plenty of other accessories, along with world debuts from several major yachtmakers.
6th Eurasia Boat Show
10-19 February –Ā Istanbul, Turkey
Turkey’s rapidly-growing prominence as a yachting market is helping the Eurasia Boat Show quickly catch up with European rivals such as London and Paris.
71st Miami International Boat Show
February 16-20 –Ā Miami, FL, USA
There can’t be many better places to hold a boat show than in the near-permanent warmth of the Sunshine State.
Florida’s Miami International Boat Show may not be long, but it does cram in as much as possible, also offering plenty for divers, anglers and students.
20th Dubai Boat Show
March 13-17 –Ā Dubai, United Arab Emirates
With the number of leisure boats in the Middle East expected to hit 50,600 next year, the Dubai International Boat Show is ideally placed to take advantage of a growing and fabulously wealthy market.
3rd Hainan Rendez-Vous
April 5-8 –Ā Hainan, China
The boat/jet show hybrid is China’s largest yacht show, drawing millionaires from all over the region to the warm shores of Sanya, Hainan. With the rapid growth of its host country uppermost on almost everyone’s mind, this is one to watch.
44th PSP Southampton International Boat Show
September 14-23 –Ā Southampton, United Kingdom
Thanks to better weather and a pleasant location, what PSP Southampton lacks in product debuts and industry news it more than makes up for in fun.
Last year, approximately ten percent of the visits managed to get out on the water and have a go themselves, according to organizers.
40th Grand Pavois de La Rochelle
September 19-24 –Ā La Rochelle, France
The Grand Pavois de La Rochelle is slightly smaller than its sister show Paris Nautic, but makes up for it with superb weatherĀ (most years)Ā and its handy position in the popular tourism center of La Rochelle. Brazil will be guest of honour in 2012.
52nd Genoa International Boat Show
October 6-14 –Ā Genoa, Italy
Genoa is the world’s biggie, one of the major shows of the year despite a fall in visitors in 2011 compared to 2010.
The entire city is transformed for the event, although most of the excitement is among the 1,300 exhibitors that pack the city’s beautiful marina for the event.
52nd Paris Nautic
December 7-16 –Ā Paris, France
Paris’s Nautic show attracts debuts from some of the most famous French names, as well as a host of complementary exhibitions on sailing equipment, water sports and tourism in general.
