Seiko has created an iPhone app for its Astron watch, which claims to be the world’s first GPS solar watch.
The new watch is precise to one second every 100,000 years, and with only one touch of a button, Astron adjusts to the correct local time everywhere on the planet.
Functions of the app include a Seiko Astron simulator that guides users through the functions of the watch.
There is also a section dubbed World Tour, which is a selection of photographs of locations round the world that have different time zones and when selected the picture reveals which time zone it is!
The app is available for free through the AppStore (so it’s only for iPhone users) and can be viewed in English, Japanese or Chinese.
