Rolex has released the new feminine Oyster Perpetual Lady-Datejust 28, available in 904L steel or with an 18 ct white gold bezel for the first time. The new versions come in a wide choice of dials, with redesigned case featuring 28 mm, calibre 2236 and new-generation self-winding mechanical movement, entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex. The timepiece is guaranteed waterproof to a depth of 100 metres (330 feet).

The Timekeeper: Make It or Break It

For many years, Rolex watches have accompanied explorers and achievers to see them through their challenges without succumbing to constant pressure and help them overcome the toughest measures with tenacity, from the top of the highest mountains to the deepest  reaches of the ocean. This emblematic model of the Datejust has been an outstanding example and an embodiment of style and accuracy in timekeeping ever since its launch in 1945.

To create an elegant timepiece with a feminine touch, the first women’s version of this date chronometer, the Lady-Datejust, only appeared in the late 1950s,  encapsulating the heritage of the Swiss watchmaker, timeless appeal and functionality into this smaller size timepiece that fits perfectly on a woman’s wrist.

The Perpetual Calibre 2236 is equipped with a self-winding module via a Perpetual rotor and offers a power reserve of approximately 55 hours. Like all Rolex watches, every component in this Lady-Datejust 28 is crafted, designed and produced in-house to the most exacting standards. Finally, the masterpiece is accompanied by the Superlative Chronometer certification (redefined by Rolex in 2015), which ensures singular performance on the wrist.

Its middle case is made of 904L steel with winding crown, fitted with the Twinlock double waterproofness system. The crystal has a Cyclops lens at 3 o’clock for easy reading of the date and is made of virtually scratchproof sapphire.

The new Lady-Datejust 28 in 904L steel version is available on an Oyster or Jubilee bracelet. With a redesigned profile, the timepiece is fitted with the new-generation concealed Crownclasp, opened with a hinged Rolex crown with adjustable length by about 5 mm for additional comfort.
