Facing strong contenders like Gravity, Philomena and The Wolf Of Wall Street, 12 Years A Slave overcame the odds to take home the Oscar for Best Picture. Director Steve McQueen, together with members of the crew and cast, Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner and Anthony Katagas stepped on stage to accept the award but what also caught the eye of some people – namely watch enthusiasts – is the Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec peeking out of McQueen’s cuff. Upon closer inspection, the watch was identified as the Nicolas Rieussec Open Home Time.
Actor and Oscar presenter Channing Tatum wore a pair of Montblanc cufflinks and a set of studs made for his appearance at the event.
Also spotted with Montblanc cufflinks is actor and Oscar presenter Joseph Gordon Levitt, but Levitt one-upped Tatum with a Montblanc Star watch.
Oscar nominee for Best Actor in a Leading Role, Chiwetel Ejiofor, wore a Montblanc Star Roman Date Automatic and Montblanc cufflinks.
Nominated for Best Picture as well as Adapted Screenplay, Philomena unfortunately did not bring home the prize. But actor Steve Coogan was a dapper camper with his Montblanc Star Classique Automatic as well as Montblanc cufflinks and studs.
Finally, Oscar presenters Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron might not impress the audience but we didn’t miss the Montblanc Meisterstück Heritage Automatic Date and Montblanc cufflinks worn by Hemsworth.
And finally, since it’s so epic, we thought we’d share the famous Oscar selfie in this post
