Like Vacheron Constantin which we featured earlier, Montblanc has a surprise planned for Watches & Wonders as well. We know that it’ll be a grand complication following 2010’s Metamorphosis, and has been named the Metamorphosis II. We know too, that it’ll almost certainly be released in a very limited run. Here’s Montblanc’s CEO Jerome Lambert giving what scant details he can afford. Transcriptions have been included below the video.

“Hello, good morning! Good morning from sunny Hamburg. It is a privilege for me to deliver you this message to invite you to this Avant-Première – the Avant-Première of a very special presentation. At Watches & Wonders in Hong Kong next week we will present a new grande complication of Montblanc – the Metamorphosis II. You may all remember the Metamorphosis I – a watch that marks the history of Montblanc in fine watchmaking, a watch of almost 800 parts, a fantastic blend of sophisticated fine watchmaking and of groundbreaking innovation.

“I cannot tell you more yet but Alexander Schmiedt on the 26th of September will have the privilege to unveil [to] you in exclusivity the Metamorphosis II. A few days before its official presentation at Watches & Wonders in Hong Kong. Attached to my speech you will find a file with a reminder of what the Metamorphosis I was already in 2010 and how that watch has built its reputation throughout the time. And without further ado it is now the time for me to invite you again for the 26th of September. Looking forward to share with you this Avant-Première and to have the opportunity to discuss it further in the weeks to come. Thank you very much and see you soon.”
