Luxury watches for her: Hermés introduces the Nantucket Très Petit Modèle before Baselworld 2017
Slim and elegant is the perfect way to describe the latest iteration of the Nantucket timepiece by the French brand
Back in 1991, Hermés introduced the world to the Nantucket watch. Designed by Henri d’Origny, the timepieces have an elongated case that accentuates its slender frame. Before the whirlwind that is Baselworld descends upon the city in Switzerland, the brand has introduced the latest instalment to the series with the Nantucket Très Petit Modèle.
With the anchor chain motif, the timepiece is a scaled down version of the original but by no means is it simplified. Instead, the new model highlights what many have come to love from the original drawing. The update is available in two versions — one with a single strap or a double wrap around strap that adds to its elegant aura.
The first that is slightly flashier of the two is known as the Nantucket Or rose sertie that has a natural white mother-of-pearl dial fitted with two diamond-set chatons. The case that measures 17 by 23 mm is outfitted with rose gold with 186 diamonds while an anti-reflective sapphire crystal case completes the look. For the strap, one is able to choose between cloud white alligator, black alligator, ultraviolet alligator and elephant grey alligator leather. The final touch is the pin buckle in rose gold.
For a clean and classic look, the brand has the Nantucket Acier that has a steel case. Hermés used an opaline silver-toned dial that features silver-toned Arabic numerals. The strap comes in various shades of calfskin leather such as maltese blue, natural or black barnia, orange, etoupe, electric blue, iris as well as capucine. A steel pin buckle completes the design of the timepiece.
