The Met Gala may not be in need of glamour, what with megawatt stars like Rihanna, Beyoncé, Emma Stone and Jaeger-LeCoultre poster girl Diane Kruger beaming on the red carpet, but extra bling is always welcome.
Shining from head to toe, Kruger paired her pale blue sequinned Hugo Boss backless gown with a Jaeger-LeCoultre “secret” vintage jewellery watch. The 38-year-old German actress kept her make up natural but radiant and her hair in a beautiful chignon, channeling a neo-vintage elegance echoed in the timepiece on her wrist.
Jaeger-LeCoultre, a reference in Swiss watchmaking with over 180 years of history, has always lavished special attention on feminine timepieces and has enriched the tradition by creating “secret” watches with covers, as well as swivelling and pivoting models, rings and pendants, covering a range of styles stretching from the purity of Art Deco to the most expressive floral motifs.
