Dior Grand Soir Origami collection

The luxury brand has expanded its Dior Grand Soir collection with five new timepieces inspired by the traditional Japanese art of paper folding.

Numbered 27 to 31, the five new watches in the Dior Grand Soir Origami collection are adorned with an array of gemstones in various cuts (triangle, trapezoid, and baguette). Sapphires, diamonds, tsavorite garnets and spessartine garnets embellish the bezels, and the dials are covered in pink and yellow sapphires, spinel and aquamarines.

The origami influence shows in the dial’s mother-of-pearl marquetry, which creates a three-dimensional effect. The faceted hour and minute hands — in white, yellow or rose gold to match the different cases — also echo the appearance of symmetrically folded paper.
