Chopard L.U.C 1963 Anniversary Chronometer
2014 marks 50 years of the Scheufele family at the helm of Chopard, and this watch was created to celebrate the occasion.
At the next edition of Baselworld in Basel, Switzerland (March 27 – April 3), the Swiss watchmaker will present the L.U.C 1963, a chronometer wristwatch named for the company’s founder, Louis-Ulysse Chopard.
Designed to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Scheufele family’s arrival at the helm of Chopard, the L.U.C. 1963 calls to mind the watches produced by the Swiss manufacture half a century ago. This exclusive reference will be produced in a limited edition of just 50 watches.
This wristwatch has a hand-wound mechanical movement stamped with the Poinçon de Genève quality hallmark and certified by the COSC.
The L.U.C. 1963 features a 44mm case in 18K rose gold or in platinum. The large porcelain-type dial, in white, is adorned with heavy black Roman numerals for a distinctive vintage style. Hours and minutes are shown at the center dial, while a second-hand turns at 9 o’clock.
The watch comes with a hand-stitched alligator leather strap (dark brown on the outside, cognac-colored on the inside), complete with an 18K rose gold or platinum buckle.
