Viktor & Rolf Join Forces With Bugaboo
VIKTOR & ROLF have taken a more youthful approach to their latest creative collaboration – designing a pushchair for the Dutch brand Bugaboo in aid of the charity (RED)
High-end Netherlands-based stroller brand Bugaboo is teaming up once more with a top fashion label.
The company has called on its compatriots, the design duo of Viktor & Rolf, to fit out a special edition of its Cameleon model.
The Viktor & Rolf edition has a grey taupe bassinet in a leather-like material and has been named “My first car.”
“It was a fun project to work on,” explained Viktor Horsting at the Park Hyatt cocktail reception at the official launch on Friday night in Paris.
“The idea was ‘my first car’ and thinking about what a stroller is and a car came to mind, which is ironic and surreal and goes very well with Viktor & Rolf.”
Other labels that have previously collaborated with Bugaboo include Italian house Missoni and American designer Marc Jacobs.
The Viktor & Rolf Cameleon will be available in select stores this September, priced from €1500.
