US luxury shoemaker Stuart Weitzman has revealed a revamped, limited-edition version of its famous “Nudist” stiletto.
“SWxYou: Set in Stones” is a pavé collection of designs based on Swarovski crystal-encrusted incarnations of the strappy, minimalist Nudist shoe. The designs include polka dot patterns, chevron zigzags and sophisticated solid hues, with clients able to pick out their own tailored crystal color combinations.
The shoe shot to fame after becoming a Hollywood favorite, becoming the footwear of choice for Jennifer Lopez, Blake Lively, Kendall Jenner, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Aniston, Gigi Hadid and Beyonce.
Founded by the US designer Stuart Weitzman, the luxury brand was built upon the idea of creating a beautifully-constructed shoe, blending fashion and function. The award-winning designer now operates 58 retail stores across the United States and in Europe, with footwear and accessories sold in more than 70 countries.
The label has gone from strength to strength, thanks to a series of ‘It-model’ campaigns featuring brand ambassadors Kate Moss and Gisele Bündchen, and artistic collaborations with brands such as Swarovski. It has recently been focusing on video campaigns, working with filmmaker Julia Restoin-Roitfeld on a short film at the end of last year, and launching its first TV commercial, a choreographed visual storytelling/music video starring Gisele, this fall.
“SWxYou: Set in Stones” launched November 9 and will be available exclusively at www.stuartweitzman.com for two weeks. Retail prices range from US$2,735-$2,995 with an approximate delivery period of 12-14 weeks.
