Miuccia Prada has cast two French actresses, Léa Seydoux and Adèle Exarchopoulos, as the stars of her latest Miu Miu campaign for Resort 2014.
Update: Seydoux and Adèle Exarchopoulos star in this behind-the-scenes footage from the Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin shot Resort 2014 campaign.
Miuccia Prada has cast two French actresses, Léa Seydoux and Adèle Exarchopoulos, as the stars of her latest Miu Miu campaign for Resort 2014.
The two young actresses are the co-stars of one of this year’s biggest (and most controversial) arthouse movie hits “Blue is the Warmest Color.” The film, directed by Abdellatif Kechiche is an adaptation of the 2010 graphic novel by Julie Maroh and won the Palme d’Or at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.
Miu Miu’s 2014 resort campaign was shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. Léa Seydoux and Adèle Exarchopoulos, the French co-stars and friends “embody the feminine optimism of the 2014 Resort collection with smoldering charm” according to the brand.
The five images show off the contrast between the seductive presences of the two women and the candy-colored prints and patterns of the collection.
This isn’t Seydoux’s first time in front of the camera for Miuccia Prada. She has previously appeared in print and film form for the Prada Candy fragrance.
The latest edition of the fragrance Prada Candy L’Eau, was released earlier this year, supported by a series of short films directed by Wes Anderson and Roman Coppola.
