This season, Inès de la Fressange, is renewing her collaboration with Japanese fast-fashion giant Uniqlo. She helped create a selection of ready-to-wear pieces which will be available September 3.
Her first collection for the brand was such a hit back in March 2014 that the former Chanel muse couldn’t turn down this opportunity to work on a Fall/Winter collaboration. For this new collection, Inès de la Fressange focused on sophisticated femininity with a vintage touch.
Nature and French lifestyle
The themes of nature and winter are at the core of every piece of this collection, which also draws on the “French lifestyle” associated with the former model.
The Parisienne chose shades linked to a wintry atmosphere in a remote alpine ski resort, with nuances of green (forests of fir trees) and warm red (mulled wine) and immaculate white. However, the designer couldn’t avoid including her signature color: indigo blue.
Wintry pieces and accessories with a vintage twist
This collection is also reminiscent of vintage ski looks from the 1950s and 1960s, with a line of wool sweaters, twisted knits with Nordic and fawn motifs.
This new collaboration also comprises a set of skirts hitting above the knee, blazers, coats, hoodies, dresses and shirts.
Uniqlo and Inès de la Fressange also came up with a unique line of accessories, from gloves to scarves and beanies, as well as berets and a wide selection of belts.
This new collection will launch on September 3 with prices ranging from $19.90 to $169.90.
