Air Jordan 6 ‘UNC’ Debuts In Iconic University Blue

This widely-anticipated pair of Jordan is slated to be released on 5 March.

Mar 02, 2022 | By Joseph Low

Jordan Brand has, over the years, paid homage to Michael Jordanā€™s alma mater, the University of North Carolina (UNC). The past iterations of the Air Jordans, such as 1, 3, 4, 6, and 9, have featured UNCā€™s signature University Blue. For this upcoming Air Jordan 6 ā€˜UNCā€™ release, the blue shade continues to take centre stage.

Coming through in a colour blocking style known as ā€œCarmineā€, the shoes are white-based with University Blue and navy accents throughout. The upper spots the contrasting blue and white colours, while black informs the interior of the shoes and the heel pull-tabs.

The tribal pattern, which is commonly seen on the Air Jordan 7, is depicted on the transparent tongue and insoles. On the heels, a patch that has been associated with school-inspired releases like ā€˜Oregonā€™ and ā€˜Michiganā€™ Air Jordan 5s can be seen. More recently, this scholastic mark has been seen on the Air Jordan 4 ā€˜UNCā€™. With the various translations, be on the lookout to spot fake Jordan 6 and purchase an authentic pair.

The Air Jordan 6 ā€˜UNCā€™ continues the series of Retro releases by the brand. Inspirations for the different releases come from the Player Edition, where venerated college athletic programmes are represented regularly, for example, Michigan, Oregon, and Georgetown.

Touted as one of the most anticipated releases in 2022, the Air Jordan 6 ā€˜UNCā€™ is set to drop on 5 March in full family sizing. Grab yourself a pair onĀ GOATĀ andĀ Flight Club. Shop more Jordan 6sĀ here.

Updated: Even though Air Jordan 6 UNC is still below USD 500 and is not available officially on Nike. If you are not a multi-millionaire, I would suggest my readers buyĀ Jordan repsĀ and save thousands of dollars. The current after-sale market of Nike has skyrocketed now.
