One West Point Will be the Tallest Residential Landmark in West London
British developer City and Docklands’ One West Point is set to be a landmark development that aims to transform the landscape of the surrounding area.
This residential project is developed together with the regeneration of Park Royal and Old Oak Common (OPDC). Part of a 1,600-acre masterplan, the regeneration is the largest of its kind in the UK and a district on a scale equalled only by east London’s Royal Docks. The GDP 26 billion redevelopment will further enhance West London’s appeal, which has seen the recent expansion and growth of White City and Europe’s largest shopping centre, Westfield. The area will also be home to a vast 25-acre, EUR 3 billion new campus for Imperial College London, one of the UK’s leading universities. The regeneration will create up to 40,000 new homes and 65,000 new jobs, fuelling the UK economy by GDP 7.6 billion a year.
This 42-storey residential tower is situated in the prime position of the centre of the North Acton/Old Oak Regeneration area in London. In addition, the luxury property will offer private sky garden and terrace bar on the 43rd floor, offering bird’s eye view of the city. This vantage level is said to be the tallest in the whole of West London! One West Point will accommodate 275 highly specified one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments and penthouses, each with private balcony or terrace, all offering a luxury lifestyle second to none. The top 10 floors of the building will include exclusive access to the private sky garden and terrace bar on the roof. The apartments will allow an abundance of light via the floor-to-ceiling windows to complement the modern, industrial feel created by the inclusion of wide panelled oak flooring and exposed brick walls.
One West Point’s architectural narrative is about elegance expressed in vertical forms, further articulated by a textured “weave” created by alternating balconies on each floor. This immediately creates a captivating jewelled effect and provides an interesting visual feast for the facade. Moreover, the elegant glass-fronted tower complements the surrounding modern landscape of West London.
Homeowners can regale and indulge in a range of activities such as 24-hour concierge and valet parking, private dining suite, residents’ private bar and lounge, yoga/meditation suites, fully-equipped modern gym, private screening room, roof garden, barbecue areas, children’s retreat, dog day-care centre, and co-working office space with state-of-the-art equipment and private boardroom.
Interestingly, One West Point is part of the Portal West development and will comprise of four buildings. It will also offer extensive communal landscaped gardens and courtyards for homeowners and occupants to relax in its lush, urban oasis. The development will also offer shared commercial facilities on top of its residential provisions. Developed by renowned developer City and Docklands who possesses a track record of 14 highly successful schemes delivering over 2,800 luxury apartments to date, One West Point is set to become the latest and most iconic landmark on West London’s skyline.

One West Point is without a doubt close to London’s most technologically advanced rail network and transport hub – Old Oak Common. This high-speed rail interchange in the UK is located approximately 850 metres from One West Point – little over 10 minutes’ walk. It will be the only hub where HS2, Crossrail, Great Western Mainline and Overground services connect, with the new interchange accommodating around 250,000 passengers daily – comparable only to London Waterloo. A total of seven rail and tube lines will interconnect across the regeneration zone, including the conveniently situated Central Line services via North Acton which is a mere two-minute walk away. The new Acton Crossrail station (six-minute walk) will open in 2019 and will offer journey times of 16 minutes to Heathrow airport, nine minutes to Bond Street, 10 minutes to Tottenham Court Road, and 22 minutes to Canary Wharf.
One West Point’s mixed-use independent facilities also include international cuisine restaurant, premium brand coffee and fresh juice bar, select fashion/lifestyle boutiques, to name a few. Imperial College London, consistently recognized as one of the best universities globally, ranked 8th in the 2018 World University rankings, is due to build a new residential and research campus in close proximity to One West Point. This new site will complement the flagship White City and Hammersmith Hospital campuses and will deliver accommodation for some 700 students. Imperial College London has over 15,000 students and 8,000 staff. The university regularly ranks as one of the top universities in the world and The Times Higher Education has named it one of the top 3 in Europe.
Prices of One West Point residences start at one-bedroom at GDP 499,000, two-bedroom from GDP 569,050 and three-bedroom from GDP 875,000; completion of the project is scheduled Q4 2021 to Q2 2022.
An official showcase starts 18, 19, 20 May 2018 (Fri, Sat, Sun). Singapore investors are welcome to meet up with project representatives and One Global Property Services consultants on the weekend at The St. Regis Singapore Hotel’s Diplomat Room.
