Jim Carrey is one of the greatest comedic actors of all time, and the popularity of his roles in the Dumb and Dumber, The Mask, and Ace Ventura series may be attributed to his expressive face and exuberant slapstick performances.

The Canadian-born actor, who was far from being stereotyped as a jokester, went on to win praise from critics for his serious performances in The Truman Show and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. He has co-written the book Memoirs and Misinformation, won eleven MTV Movie and TV Awards, and played Joe Biden on Saturday Night Live. He has also won two Golden Globes and eleven other awards. He declared in 2022 that he was taking a vacation from performing and was thinking about retiring. The prolific star has relocated to his vacation property in Maui and put the Brentwood estate where he had lived for the last 30 years up for sale.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, LeBron James, and Tobey Maguire all call Brentwood home. It is renowned for its tree-lined avenues, distinctive houses, and one of the best farmer’s markets in Los Angeles. The renowned Getty Museum, the Brentwood Golf Club, and the posh stores and eateries along San Vicente Boulevard are among the entertainment options.
