Roche Bobois, Christian Lacroix Furniture Team Up
A new collaboration between the two brands brings about high quality designs and vibrant creativity.
Furniture chain Roche Bobois and the creative director of Christian Lacroix Maison, Sacha Walckhoff, have unveiled a new collaboration — a series of specially designed furniture items. Playfully spinning together classical elements and contemporary styles, the series showcases the combined creative vision and capabilities of both brands.
High quality materials such as lacquered wood and shimmering brass feature prominently throughout the collection. Some items are also embellished with different kinds of artistic prints that harken back to traditional styles. One example, is a cabinet with two push-to-open doors decorated with a landscape inspired by Arles in southern France (the birthplace of designer Christian Lacroix) – finished with brass covered legs. Another is a large screen decorated with a variety of colorful plants and flowers.
Another inclusion is a beechwood chair with legs half-finished in brass, matched with black and white striped upholstery though it is also available in black and fuchsia, red and black or blue and black. An oval nesting coffee table has a top finished in acacia veneer, mirror, and polished brass. One of the larger pieces is an armchair in a faux classical style, all fitted out with a matching footstool in two sections. It stands out as invitingly plush with its asymmetrical shape, dark printed upholstery and brass feet. For those in need of a place to keep things – there’s also a selection of stackable storage cubes decorated in stripes which can be mixed and matched as shelving units or used as stand-alone storage solutions.
