One Sydney Harbour unveils Skyhomes penthouses
Australian developer Lendlease has released details of the Skyhomes penthouses in One Sydney Harbour’s Residences Two, a 230m tower featuring 322 apartments on 68 floors.
Daniel Goldberg of State of Craft has designed the interiors of the two Skyhomes penthouses at the top of the 230m-high Residences Two tower in One Sydney Harbour, saying the designs were “inspired by life onboard private yachts”.
Set by the water in Barangaroo, One Sydney Harbour is billed as ‘Australia’s most exclusive address’ by developer Lendlease. The penthouse in Residences One sold for A$140 million (about US$110 million), making it the country’s most expensive residence. Apartments in the first tower have sold at an average price of A$6.6 million.
Italian architect Renzo Piano designed the luxury residential complex, which features 801 apartments in three towers and is set to be fully completed by 2025, coinciding with the completion of Sydney Metro, which includes a station at Barangaroo.
Residences Two, featuring 322 apartments across 68 storeys, is scheduled for completion in early 2024. Its two penthouses mark the third collaboration between Goldberg and Piano.
Located on the top two floors, each occupying a full floor, the two Skyhomes range from 540-670sqm (5,813-7,212sqft) and have 3m-high ceilings throughout. Accessed via a private lift lobby, each Skyhome will have an 80-110sqm rooftop ‘Sky Terrace’ with an entertaining space and swimming pool. Each of the Skyhomes will be personally curated to meet the vision of its owners.
Overlooking Sydney Harbour, the Skyhome penthouses will boast panoramic views of the city including Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House to the northeast, and the Blue Mountains to the west.
Goldberg, founder and Creative Director of State of Craft, said: “We wanted to create two unique, world-class homes in the sky that capture the essence of living high above Sydney Harbour. The experience of being in the Skyhomes was inspired by life onboard private yachts with their seamless transition from inside to outside spaces, and the feeling of freedom and elegant comfort.”
Goldberg has also collaborated with Piano – the 1998 Pritzker Architecture Prize winner – on the Shard Residences within The Shard, the UK’s tallest building at 310m, as well as Shard Place.
Ben Christie, Head of Residential at Lendlease, said: “The design collaboration between Renzo Piano and Daniel Goldberg continues to bring Lendlease’s vision for One Sydney Harbour to life, setting the tone for this landmark residential offering.
“Following the record-breaking Residences One penthouse sale, we are now showcasing the Residences Two Skyhomes, which pay homage to Goldberg’s design expertise and luxury living vision.”
