Marriott to test VR headsets for guests
Marriott Hotels launches “VRoom Service” – a first ever in-room virtual reality travel experience.
Visitors to the New York Marriott Marquis and the London Marriott Park Lane will be able to order a Samsung Gear headset as part of the their room service menu.
The pilot scheme, which will run for an initial two-week period is called “Vroom Service”. A headset plus headphones are delivered to the room on request and users will get to experience an immersive virtual travel experience especially created or the hotel chain.

“Travel expands our minds and helps push our imagination,” said Matthew Carroll, vice president, Marriott Hotels.
“Our guests want to be in inventive spaces that help foster their creativity and thinking. VRoom combines storytelling with technology, two things that are important to next-generation travelers.”
