French hotel brand Mama Shelter, voted among Europe’s trendiest properties, has announced it will expand internationally.
The company confirmed earlier this month that it plans to open a property in Los Angeles, California next year and Istanbul, Turkey this year, with further French expansion also planned in Lyon and Bordeaux over the coming months.
With design from Philippe Starck, Mama Shelter’s first property in Paris has been widely praised by both critics and travelers for its low-key style, range of services and activities and a good price.
It has picked up awards from the likes of Condé Nast Traveller, Wallpaper and Vogue, and was named among Europe’s 25 trendiest properties by TripAdvisor.
With a new property in Marseilles on the French Riviera open to the public for the first time this month, the team behind Mama Shelter — who also founded Club Med — have clearly spotted their niche.
