YACHT STYLE Issue 76 Out Now
The second issue of 2024 includes reviews of new Sanlorenzo, Riva, Azimut and Galeon yachts, a profile of Simpson Marine, Nolimits aluminium superyachts, the 24th Benetti Yachtmaster, an adventure boats focus, interviews with ONE°15 Marina, Aquitalia Yachts and Dufour, plus boat shows in Dubai, Singapore and Sanctuary Cove.
YACHT STYLE Issue 76 features the Sanlorenzo 57Steel on the front cover, as the yacht features in several Reviews in this issue, while the Italian shipyard also comes to the fore following the completion of its acquisition of Simpson Marine, Asia’s largest yacht dealer, which features in Profile.
As it celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2024, Simpson Marine is embarking on a new era without Mike Simpson, but with the core management team and regional heads continuing as the dealership expands across Asia-Pacific.
Reviews start with the Sanlorenzo 57Steel. Building on the innovative features of the popular 52Steel, the new 57Steel offers over twice the volume, novel deck arrangements and customised interiors, as shown on Virtuosity.
Next up is the82’ Diva, the new starting point for Riva’s growing Flybridge line and the iconic brand’s first model to feature drop-down sides – just one of this Italian beauty’s remarkable features.
Also among Italian models in Reviews, the new Fly 72 fits well with Azimut’s modern family of flybridge models due to Alberto Mancini’s exterior design, while the interior has a fresh look following a collaboration with Fabio Fantolino.
Galeon’s 560 Fly rounds out the Reviews. Renowned for its drop-down sides and iconic waterside bar to port, Galeon’s flybridge range enters new territory as the 560 Fly introduces alfresco dining on the starboard side.
Superyachts features include Camper & Nicholsons’ appointment as the exclusive Asia-Pacific representative of the new Nolimits brand of 30-45m, full-aluminium superyachts created by Italian shipyard Rossinavi.
YACHT STYLE was also invited to the 24th Benetti Yachtmaster in Budapest, an event dedicated to exploring the customer journey and the Benetti lifestyle, starting with the crucial roles of captains and crew.
A Special Feature on adventure boats is led by Axopar’s 10th anniversary celebrations. After a decade of pioneering the ‘adventure boat’ genre, the Finnish brand is now being challenged by Saxdor, other new builders and long-established brands launching new models targeted at the sector.
In Interviews, Nicolas Berenger, Dufour’s Sales & Product Director and an experienced offshore sailor, outlines the development of the French builder’s new, high-volume models and his hopes for the brand in Asia.
Leaders include Michelle Ye, CEO and Chairwoman of Yihong Yachts and the driving force behind Aquitalia, which is making its Singapore Yachting Festival debut at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove with regional dealer Raffles Yacht.
Arthur Tay also features in Leaders. As Chairman of SUTL Enterprise, Tay has overseen the growth of ONE°15 Marina’s flagship Sentosa Cove facility, which is the host and owner of the Singapore Yachting Festival and Blue Water EduFest events, and has now been joined by a ONE°15 Marina at nearby Nirup Island.
Shows include previews of the Singapore Yachting Festival and Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, as well as reviews of the Thailand International Boat Show, Boot Dusseldorf and Dubai International Boat Show. Racing includes the start of the first E1 World Championship, the ongoing SailGP season and the Rolex China Sea Race from Hong Kong to the Philippines.
