Review and cover star: Aquila 70

Yacht Style has released its annual ‘Multihulls Issue’ for 2021 featuring the stunning new Aquila 70 on the cover. The 16-page cover story profiles leading catamaran builders from France, leading shipyards from other countries and emerging brands focused on powercats and notably solar-electric catamarans.

Review: Lagoon 55

As well as the new Aquila 70 powercat, our Reviews also include the newly launched Lagoon 55. Yacht Style attended the Lagoon 55 preview at Groupe Beneteau’s CNB shipyard in Bordeaux, where the brand’s third-biggest sailing cat cruised along the Garonne river before showing off her feature-packed outdoor zones and colourful, detailed interior.

Review: Bali 4.8

Reviews also include Bali’s new 4.8, which heads the brand’s second generation of catamarans and is its second-biggest model, offering all its signature features and up to six cabins with en-suite bathrooms, a rarity on a sub-50ft sailing cat. Dealer Asiamarine has ordered a specially customised unit for Asia, which will arrive later this year.

Review: MCY 76 Skylounge

Reviews also include non-catamarans, such as Monte Carlo Yachts’ newest model, the MCY 76 Skylounge, which offers an enclosed flybridge and expanded options in the main-deck interior, as well as all the winning design traits that distinguish the new MCY 76 launched just a year earlier.

Review: Ferretti Yachts 500

In Asia, there are already two units of Ferretti Yachts’ new 500 featuring Filippo Salvetti’s familiar clean exterior lines yet is the brand’s first model to feature interiors by IdeaeItalia, which offers high-end elegance in two distinct moods.

Leader: Mohammed Alshaali, Gulf Craft

Gulf Craft Chairman Mohammed Alshaali features in our Leader interview. Having co-founded the UAE shipyard in 1982, he has steadily developed Gulf Craft into one of the world’s most prolific yacht builders, with a range from 31ft to the Majesty 175, and wants it to be one of the top five superyacht builders by 2025.

Profile: Joshua Lee, Lee Marine

Profile focuses on Thailand’s Lee Marine, which is Riviera’s longest-serving international dealer, offers larger steel yachts by Cantiere delle Marche and superyachts through Northrop & Johnson Asia.

Sustainability: Water Revolution Foundation

Sustainability features a Q&A with Robert Van Tol, Executive Director of Water Revolution Foundation, who talks about the organisation’s efforts to neutralise the superyacht industry’s ecological footprint.

Racing: SailGP

Racing features stories from SailGP’s second season, the America’s Cup, Rolex Fastnet Race and the first Beneteau Cup Hong Kong, Shows highlights the return of Sanctuary Cove, while Yachts and News feature new models and updates from around the world and across Asia.

Events: Fairline F//Line 33 Thailand Premiere

There are Events from Hong Kong, Jakarta, Pattaya and Bangkok, Columns from Frankie Chau, Julian Chang and Paul Poole, and Luxury features on the new Ferrari Roma in Singapore, artist Tunku Khalsom and a special fashion shoot courtesy of Simpson Marine and OctoberEighteen.
