Swan 100 in Development, with 148 on The Horizon
The Finnish builder is succeeding its Swan 98 with the Swan 100, while also teasing a new upcoming flagship.
Nautor Swan is developing the carbon-fibre Swan 100 to succeed its Swan 98, which has sold four units. Part of the Finnish builderās line of Maxi Yachts, the Swan 100 joins the new 108 ā which debuted at Septemberās Monaco Yacht Show ā and Swan 120, as well as the upcoming Swan 88 and Swan 128 models.
Giovanni Pomati, CEO of Nautor Group, said the Swan 100 was designed by āa dream teamā including GermĆ”n Frers for naval architecture, Lucio Micheletti for exterior styling and Misa Poggi for interiors, as well as the shipyardās internal engineering team.
Frers, who has worked with Swan since 1980, emphasised that the Swan 100ās hull lines are an evolution on previous Swan Maxis.
The bow is straight, with a low bowsprit for easy sail handling and safe anchoring, while the low coachroof is set behind the mast for a balanced yet aggressive look with a long, clean foredeck area. The opening transom forms a combined toys storage area and beach club, a focal point of onboard living.
āIām working with Nautor Swan more than ever and never making a revolution but always an evolution to give continuity to the heritage of the brand,ā Frers said. āClients are getting more demanding and so is the competition.ā

Lucio Micheletti and his studio Micheletti + Partners have created a light, easy-to-use and safe deck layout that features a large, well-protected guest cockpit and a combination of wooden decking and white hull areas balanced by glazed surfaces to let light into the interior.
Although Poggi is working on several interior layouts, the first Swan 100 will have a full-beam ensuite ownerās cabin fore, two further guest cabins and a VIP cabin with its own entrance just off the light-filled companionway.
A galley adjacent to the saloon is designed for owners who enjoy cooking, while a lobby space off the galley can also be used for batteries in case a hybrid propulsion system is chosen. Crew quarters aft are spacious so crew can live comfortably on board for the duration of an entire charter season.
Swan, whose dealers in Asa include Asiamarine, also announced that it was developing the Swan 148, which would be the brandās biggest yacht since the shipyard was founded in Finland in 1966.
