Sanlorenzo SX88 to Follow SL102 Asymmetric into Singapore
The first Sanlorenzo SL102 Asymmetric into Singapore will be followed by the arrival of an SX88 crossover yacht later this year.
A Sanlorenzo SL102 Asymmetric recently arrived in Singapore, soon after the yacht’s official launch for the owners in Viareggio, Italy. Nick Stratton, Sanlorenzo Asia Sales Manager, managed the sale of the yacht, which is based in Singapore and will cruise extensively around Southeast Asia.
“A new yacht arriving is always an exciting day for all involved and especially so in the case of the first SL102 Asymmetric,” Stratton said. “It’s wonderful to see the yacht in Asia and cruising the region. Now that it’s in Singapore and has already been cruising, we look forward to following the many adventures on board.”
The interiors have been tailored to suit the owner’s style, with a mixture of oak and walnut woods coupled with a tranquil colour scheme, inside and out.
Billed as ‘the world’s first asymmetrical yacht’ on its debut at last year’s Cannes Yachting Festival, the SL102 Asymmetric features only one side deck, on starboard, which increases the interior space by 10sqm. Sanlorenzo plans to premiere the SL96 Asymmetric at Boot Dusseldorf in January 2020.
Simpson Marine, which represents Sanlorenzo in Asia, also announced that another new Sanlorenzo is expected in Singapore, after the first SX88 sold into Asia was launched at the builder’s shipyard in Viareggio.
The yacht has since been cruising in Italy and is expected to arrive in Singapore and then cruise around Southeast Asia. Sanlorenzo’s in-house team designed the interior, which is inspired by Greek Islands, with white washed wood and oak flooring finished with accents of blue and cream.
The layout features a saloon, dining area and galley on the main deck, a master cabin, double and two twins below, while the flybridge houses the solitary helm station, as well as dining and lounging areas.
Sanlorenzo presented the SX88 at the 2017 Cannes Yachting Festival as a crossover between a classic flybridge yacht and an explorer. The aft beach club area can accommodate a 15ft tender, a jetski, Seabob, Jetlev Flyer, wakeboard and paddleboard.
The crane is hidden in the handrail and once the toys are deployed, the beach club offers 30sqm of space, which can fit loose furniture and be shaded by parasols.
The SX88, which has already sold 22 units, was followed last year by the SX76 – one unit has already been delivered to Hong Kong – while the SX112 is expected to launch in 2020.
