At 289 ft., the amazing Maltese Falcon is the worldĆ¢ā¬ā¢s largest, best designed, and most expensive sailing yacht Ć¢ā¬ā for now.
Its builder Perini Navi is now hard at work on a much larger sailing megayacht, a 335-ft. craft dubbed the C.2157, James Spotting reports.
Similar is styling to the Maltese, the 335-footer also has three enormous self- standing, rotating masts masts and will be equipped with an even more impressive version of Perini NaviĆ¢ā¬ā¢s revolutionary carbon fibre DynaRig sailing system.
Topping the MalteseĆ¢ā¬ā¢s 15 sails and 25,791 sq. ft. sail area, the 335 will be capable of a maximum speed of 19.5 knots despite its impressive size.
Look for the 2,700 ton yacht with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure to equal if not better the MalteseĆ¢ā¬ā¢s 10-day Atlantic crossing time despite her extra 46 feet.
Perini Navi has not disclosed which of the worldĆ¢ā¬ā¢s billionaires commissioned the craft but it will no doubt have opulent fittings and finishes galore throughout its five decks, including two contoured sets of stairs wrapping around the buttress of the aft mast while descending towards the aft of the main deck.
There will be room for more than the MalteseĆ¢ā¬ā¢s 12 guests in the luxurious staterooms in addition to whatĆ¢ā¬ā¢s sure to be one hell of an ownerĆ¢ā¬ā¢s eye-popping master suite.
