Pornic Nautic, Technique Voile Champions at First Sun Fast World Cup
Pornic Nautic, Technique Voile emerged victorious as 33 boats from France, England and Lithuania competed in the first Jeanneau Sun Fast World Cup
Pornic Nautic and Technique Voile were the two division champions at Jeanneau’s first Sun Fast World Cup, which was held in good conditions over an April weekend in Brittany, north-western France.
The two-day event was held in La Trinité-sur-Mer and attracted 33 boats, with 29 crews from France, three from England and one from Lithuania, with all competing in four races – two round-the-buoys and two coastal – organised by race director Christophe Gaumont.
Pornic Nautic, skippered by Jean-Yves Jaffrezic, topped the podium in the Sun Fast 3200 division, followed by EDM Service in second and Team Delta Voiles Plaisance in third in a class featuring 23 yachts.
Technique Voile, skippered by Frédéric Duthil, topped the 10-strong Sun Fast 3600 division ahead of Ciao Ciao and Tip.
Jeanneau presented the new Sun Fast 3300 to international media and competing owners at the two-day event, which was supported by TBS, Harken, Fonderie Lemer, Technique Voile, Gaspa Joe, USHIP and the Société Nautique de La Trinité-Sur-Mer.
