Benetti’s Mediterraneo 116-foot M/Y “Botti” is the third to leave the oldest Italian yachting brand
Benetti is unquestionably the oldest Italian builder of motor yachts renowned for their evergreen Italian styling and unparalleled construction excellence.
Founded in 1873, Benetti has come very far and is currently recognised as a yachting brand notable for their level of detailing – customising each yacht to the nth degree of the owner’s desires and specifications. Among its illustrious “Class” models – composite yachts from 28 to 45 metres – the company announced that it delivered the third Mediterraneo 116-foot (35m) M/Y “Botti”. This model was launched on 14 March 2018 and was delivered to her owner on 4 May. The craft features large, bright spaces combined naturally with a streamlined and flowing design.
It is made up of a fibreglass displacement hull and a carbon fibre superstructure – features that have proven it to be one of Benetti’s most successful models, with the sale of the fourth unit recently closed in Asia.

The exteriors are designed by Giorgio M. Cassetta, while the interiors are the work of Benetti’s Interior Style Department, working jointly with design firm Radyca. The Mexican owner contributed personally to choose the details of the furnishings and the materials. Carefully designed windows allow light to flood the interior decor into the spacious settings through big glazed surfaces.
The main driver of the interior design and furnishings in the communal spaces for owner and crew is social interaction. Fine fabrics, wooden details in warm colours and soft lighting make for relaxing settings. The Main Deck has a lounge area furnished with sofas, chairs and an American bar. The bow area is dominated by the full-beam Master Suite, which has two big glazed surfaces to enjoy every moment at sea to the full. With wooden floors in the night area and marble in the bathroom, the owner’s suite is also fitted with a big walk-in wardrobe and a studio with sofa and TV.
The convivial nature of both interior and exterior spaces is reprised on the Upper Deck, where a spacious outdoor dining area featuring a large round table with ten chairs dominates the scene. The interior has a Sky Lounge furnished with a sofa, a 75-inch TV and a game table. The captain’s cabin is situated in the bow, near the helm station. A big jacuzzi and personalised sun lounging pad complete the forward area on this deck and the same style is mirrored on the Sun Deck. There is another personalised sun lounging pad in the stern, while sofas and a sun lounging pad in the bow give the outdoor area a lively and enjoyable feel.
The Lower Deck has four guest cabins: two symmetrical VIP cabins with double beds, plus two guest cabins with twin (sliding) and pullman beds, sleeping up to 10 people. Also, on the Lower Deck, in the forward area, are three cabins for the crew which, together with the captain’s cabin, can accommodate up to seven people. The yacht has a remarkable range of over 3,000 nautical miles at 10 knots, making it ideal for long stays on board in peerless comfort and luxury.
