Singer Vehicle Design provides arguably one of the most prestigious restoration services in the market today. Offering a degree of personalization which ensures each machine can be as sportingly focused, luxuriously flamboyant, or as simple and understated as desired, Singer projects are designed to reflect the unique tastes and perspectives of its owner. While most collectors to wait eons for a single bespoke Porsche, or at least three years, one commissioner has felt inclined to part ways with their cherished motor.

As a result, the latest addition to RM Sotheby’s private sale includes a 1989 Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer. Commissioned by a Canadian entrepreneur and philanthropist in August 2016, this one-off took at least 12 months to come to fruition and involved a complete overhaul of the original retro ride. Now offered for just under USD $1M, this bespoke beauty, based on a 964-generation 911, that has been completely stripped down and reworked.

Sporting new lightweight carbon-fiber bodywork finished in an elegant Geyser Grey, with Bahama Yellow brake calipers that sit behind Fuchs-style wheels, this one-of-a-kind Porsche 964 911 is emblazoned with subtle ghosted side stripes and orange “Porsche” lettering. Complemented by a motorsport-inspired flair, in the form of  a center-fill fuel filler protruding from the hood, this Porsche 964 911 dispels the marque’s standard 4.0-liter air-cooled flat-six, for an upgraded California’s Ed Pink Racing Engine, worth nearly USD $89K.

Backed by an impressive Ohlins suspension system, this Porsche 964 911 has seen roughly 500 miles on its odometer. With plush tobacco-toned leather, plus eye-catching Bahama Yellow accents on the tachometer and Momo Prototipo steering wheel, this build was originally commissioned for an estimated USD $752K, and is now worth USD $925K.
