The Koenigsegg Gemera is Almost as CO2 Neutral as a Pure Electric Car
Assisted by one electric motor on each rear wheel, and one more on the crankshaft, the Koenigsegg Gemera boasts immaculate torque vectoring capabilities and a 3000 mm wheelbase – offering unprecedented comfort, directional control and straight-line stability in both low-grip and high-performance situations.
Swapping out the conventional V8 engine for a miniature three-cylinder twin-turbo 2.0-liter ‘Freevalve’ combustion engine, the supercar is almost as CO2 neutral as a pure electric car. Running on renewable alcohol fuel, such as Gen 2.0 ethanol or CO2 neutral methanol, the Gemera delivers unimaginable outputs at a whopping 1677 worth of horsepower.
It is not often one can say a new category of car has been created. But in the case of the Gemera it has to be believed – the Mega-GT.
Through utilizing a direct drive system which runs from its rear to the front axle, the Koenigsegg Gemera is an all-wheel drive machine, powering its electric motors with an 800-volt, 15kWh battery pack hidden in plain sight.
Speeding 0 to 100km/h in a brain-liquefying 1.9 seconds, the Gemera travels up to 1,000km on a single charge, and features memory foam seating, clad in leather or Alcantara fabric, plus full-length Koenigsegg Automated Twisted Synchrohelix Actuation Doors, two wireless smartphone charging pads, eight cup holders, an enormous, protruding 13-inch touchscreen compatible with Apple CarPlay, wrap-around jet fighter inspired windshield, hidden A-pillars and a floating, 360-degree camera on the dashboard – installed in place of the traditional side-view mirrors.
With no set price and an expected production of only 300 samples, the exclusive Koenigsegg Gemera is currently only available for enquiry.
