Renault, together with Caterham, will launch its new Alpine sports car by the end of 2015, according to Renault marketing head Stephen Norman.
According to Norman, the new Alpine will be “light and look different, and have a touch of French dash. […] We know who the buyer is: he’s either French or a Francophile. And the car has technical innovation as part of its DNA.”
The new Alpine will join competition such as the Porsche Boxster and the Audi TT, going for less than Ā£50,000 (about ā¬61,200).
Renault and Caterham announced in November that they would conceive and produce sports vehicles in a joint venture.
