Lamborghini has revealed a teaser of what might be the final iteration of its V12 Aventador coupe, which is set for a formal launch tomorrow (July 7).

The teaser was published on the Italian supercar maker’s social media channels, featuring a sleek silhouette of the upcoming coupe, along with the caption: “It takes time to become timeless”.

Rumours have suggested that the new car will be called the Aventador SJ, or S Jota. It is positioned as the most powerful Aventador to date — which is apt if it truly is the final one. Its naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V-12 is estimate to produce an enormous 769 horsepower (574 kilowatts), which ranks higher than the current Aventador SVJ.

Lamborghini has remained tight-lipped about most other details surrounding the upcoming supercar, but thankfully, we won’t have to wait much longer to get the full rundown.

The Aventador was first launched in 2011 with the Aventador LP700-4, designed by Filippo Perini. Some of the more notable variants include the barchetta-styled Aventador J (2012), the LP700-4-inspired Veneno (2013) and the Centenario (2016). The latter was based on the Avetador SV, and was launched in commemoration of the 100th birthday of the company’s founder, Ferrucio Lamborghini.

Late last year, Lamborghini teamed up with Ducati on the Diavel 1260 Lamborghini,  inspired by the Siàn FKP 37 supercar. The project was an intriguing collaboration between the Volkswagen group brands. The motorcycle borrowed several design elements from the Siàn FKP 37, including its ‘Verde Gea’ glow, and enhanced forged wheels finished in gold.
