Jaguar unveils ‘F-Type-inspired’ driving shoes
Oliver Sweeney announces the official launch of a range of footwear, created in collaboration with British sports and luxury car manufacturer Jaguar.
Luxury car manufacturer Jaguar has teamed up with Oliver Sweeney to create a collection of driving shoes to celebrate the new F-TYPE range.
The Jaguar by Oliver Sweeney shoes are available in a combination of carbon fibre print leathers and sandwich nubuck leathers, in red, navy and black – colours derived from the interior of the F-TYPE sports car.
Of the collection, Tim Cooper, Oliver Sweeney Cobbler-in-Chief, said: “The shoes are styled on a device that mimics as closely as possible the natural contours of the foot, and we have removed the shank to sustain extensive durability and flexibility. This ensures our shoes provide a real connection between the driver, the vehicle and the road.”
When Mercedes took the wraps off its SLS AMG supercar in 2010, it also unveiled the FIA-approved matching shoes designed by Santoni.
Prices for these shoes start at $325 for the leather styles, and go up to $375 for the carbon fiber shoes. They are already available to order online.
