Ferrari 458 Speciale Unveiled
A new Prancing Horse is set to go public at the 2013 Frankfurt motor show: Ferrari will introduce the 458 Speciale, which will join the 458 Italia and 458 Spider at the lower end of Ferrari’s range.
In Frankfurt, Ferrari will present a new, ramped up version of its 458 supercar. This “Speciale” edition promises to be powerful, with its V8 engine boasting 605 hp for a power-to-weight ratio of 2.13 kg/hp
With its 605 hp V8 engine, the Ferrari 458 Speciale has 35 hp more than the original 458, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100km/h in just 3 seconds and 0 to 200km/h in 9.1.
The new version has also slimmed down, weighing in at just 1.29 kg for an excellent power-to-weight ratio of 2.13 kg/hp. In addition, the front and back of the supercar feature new aerodynamic flaps, which move into place to reduce drag when needed.
Production of Ferrari 458 Speciale will certainly be limited, and the price of it certainly very high. Further details will be revealed closet to the IAA.
