Certainly great news for Southeast Asian whisky connoisseurs. The world-famous scotch whisky Glenlivet has launched the Glenlivet Kinrossie Single Cask Edition exclusively for Singapore. Fewer than 250 bottles are available for purchase so aficionados looking to get their hands on one of these better make their way quick to one of the available outlets as listed below.

“The Glenlivet Single Cask Editions range offers its own individual insight into the provenance artisanal production techniques and smooth, floral, fruity house style of The Glenlivet” said Alan Winchester, The Glenlivet Master Distiller.

The ‘Kinrossie’ in the name refers to an ancient hamlet that was a landmark on one of the original smuggling trails out of the Glenlivet Valley to the Scottish market town of Perth. This version is drawn from a single Hogshead cask picked out for its quality in the Glenlivet inventory, with a 15 year maturation at 60.4% cask strength without chill filtration. All this gives it “the quality and taste that has come to define the Speyside style of whisky”.

This bottling though is typically exclusive to travel retail but now Glenlivet is making something very much like this available in Singapore so do consider carefully (and quickly) if you might want to try it.
