British fashion brand Mulberry launched this week Brilliant Britain, an online guide of the country’s undiscovered places, charms and talents, as part of the GREAT campaign created by the British government to promote the country abroad.
The online guide, launched by British luxury brand Mulberry, includes information about the country’s unsung heroes, undiscovered places, its people and talents.
The extensive online guide is divided into 15 categories including architecture, art & design, food, fashion, hospitality, music and science.
Each section includes recommendations and quotes from local personalities such as model Pixie Geldof, pianist Jools Holland and writer Alain de Botton.
The online guide includes a section dedicated to readers, where people can add their own comments and suggestions, featured on the “Your Brilliant Britain” section.
The project, already online, will officially be launched in London department store Harrods on Thursday, October 11 with an installation.
Edited print editions of the guide are available in Mulberry stores throughout the UK and Europe in October with Asia and the United States to follow. The guide will also be available in the stores of many of the booklet’s featured brands.
Early this year Victoria Beckham was named international ambassador of the GREAT campaign at an event in New York which also featured a Great-branded subway train. Victoria Beckham’s ready-to-wear collection is handmade in the UK.
Also part of the GREAT campaign, in September fashion designer Vivienne Westwood unveiled her new red carpet collection at the Residence of the British Ambassador in Beijing.
