Memories of a Titanic Night at Shangri-La Hong Kong
Enjoy a great Titanic experience at the refined dining restaurant and pair each meal with some of the best wines from the early 20th century.
For one night only on April 14, Restaurant Petrus at Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong will be offering a recreated version of the same extravagant 10-course meal, which was served onboard the ocean liner Titanic to its First Class guests on the exact evening 106 years ago.
Chef Ricardo Chaneton has crafted a unique menu, offering a modernised twist to dishes like Fillet Mignon Lili, roast guinea fowl, lamb with mint sauce, cold asparagus with saffron vinegar and Waldorf Pudding, that will bring back memories of a Titanic night.
To complete an ultimate dine-in experience, diners can add a few thousand dollars more to their 10-course meal and enjoy some of the best vintages from the early 20th century, especially handpicked by Master Sommelier, Yohann Jousselin.
For the full experience, there’s also the Titanic hotel situated in the heart of the Titanic Quarter, which transformed the ship’s drawing offices into a luxury hotel in Belfast. After two years of overhaul, the legendary Harland & Wolff Drawing Offices is now complete and ready to usher in an entirely new chapter as the four-star heritage Titanic Hotel Belfast.
For the 10-course meal, the menu is HK$2,388 per person (US $308) and HK$25,888 (US $3,299) per person with the wine pairing.
