Acclaimed harbourside fine dining restaurant Harlan’s at IFC, Hong Kong, is celebrating its 5th anniversary with a HK$555 tasting menu of favourite signature dishes since opening in 2004.

The 5-course gastronomic showcase is being served from Aug 1- Sep 30.

It also includes a 50% discount on specially-selected premium wines and champagnes from the vintage years between 2000 to 2006.

The HK$555 tasting menu features a popular signature dish from each successful year of Harlan’s between 2004 and 2008.

The dinner welcomes guests with an appetizer of salmon sashimi and Japanese salad.

‘Magic Mushroom’ cappuccino and porcini cookie introduces a favourite pasta course of hand-crafted penne with sweet onion, tomato cream, Russian vodka and parmesan.

Main course is a choice of the signature wood-stone roasted Tuscan beef steak with rocket and white truffle dressing or roast spring chicken with chicken sausage with rocket and pancetta mushroom sauce.

A Valrhona warm chocolate cake, chocolate soup and rum raisin ice-cream completes the celebration, served with coffee or tea.

“The 5 signature dishes featured in the 5th Anniversary tasting menu were chosen based on their exceptional popularity in each year they were featured,” said Chef Nelson Chui, Group Executive Chef of JC Group.

“The roast spring chicken featured was made popular by 2,234 individuals and the Valrhona warm chocolate cake is one of the hottest desserts at Harlan’s recording 2,658 orders in five years!”

To celebrate five successful years, groups of 5 are additionally treated to complimentary oyster or appetizer platters.

Harlan’s boast one of the finest wine cellars of all independent restaurants in Hong Kong and continues to attract gastronomic accolades, including most recent recommendations in the Michelin Guide Hong Kong Macau 2009 and Hong Kong’s Best Restaurants Guide 2009.
