Chic new restaurant ZENSE Gourmet Deck & Lounge Panorama has opened in Bangkok, featuring a giant outdoor terrace overlooking downtown Bangkok and an army of chefs serving four international cuisines from major name restaurants in the city.

Developed by Central Retail Corporation, the 130-million baht ($3.6 million) concept is the flagship first phase of four levels of rooftop restaurants and bars atop Bangkok’s leading lifestyle mall, Zen World.

The entire project is called Destiny, inspired by the four elements of earth, water, air and fire.

The enormous restaurant occupies a total of 4,000 square metres – half for al-afresco dining beneath the stars on Bangkok’s sultry tropical evenings. It seats 400 with standing area capacity for more than another 300.

The unique dining concept combines the cuisines of four top Bangkok restaurants: Thai by White Café; Italian by Gianni Ristorante; Japanese by The Kikusui; and Indian by Red.

Also on the menu are scrumptious desserts and pastries, plus a vast selection of premium wines and creative cocktails.

Designed by Siam Architectural Society Award winner Amata Lhupaiboon, the restaurant focuses on creating a relaxing ambience, with plush seats, timber flooring and soft lights as well as a DJ booth delivering soothing house music in line with its earth elemental theme.

Opening daily from 5.30pm-midnight for dinner, guests can also look forward to late night drinks at the outdoor bar.

Luckily the prices don’t rise as high as the venue – a definite bonus! ZENSE
