If you already find it hard to peel yourself away from the telly every night, Samsung’s new line-up of SUHD TVs will make it virtually impossible. This year, the Korean tech giant outdoes itself once again by infusing their screens with Quantum dot display technology, a boundless curved design and what they promise will be the ultimate smart user experience.

Equipped with the world’s only cadmium-free 10 bit Quantum dot display, the SUHD TV claims bragging rights for producing the most vibrant color and contrast available for true-to-life picture and experience, with the quality standard of 1,000-nit high dynamic range (HDR). This means brighter whites, and richer blacks. In contrast, an OLED TV produces only around 540 nits. Its Ultra Black technology also absorbs natural light and cuts back on glare, so spending hours on that Game of Thrones marathon is an option.

It would be a shame, then, to have poor design distract you from the stunning image quality. Which is why enclosing these technological feats is a bezel-free façade. Eliminating all unnecessary elements – that includes exposed screws, too – Samsung’s virtually edgeless screen and sleek curved silhouette makes it a joy to look at, besides the enhanced viewing experience, of course.

Following the trail LG blazed with the WebOS, Samsung’s new Tizen-based operating system integrates its TV with almost every device and subscribed programs. The 2016 Smart Hub provides viewers access to all their favorite content and services. Simply put, you can now switch between NetFlix, Hulu and YouTube without hassle. The Samsung One Remote will also help de-clutter your coffee table. The Smart TV detects game consoles, OTT boxes and home theater systems automatically so no setup is required.

Here is something to make your wallet feel overrated. Shortly after Apple announced the activation of Apple Pay, Samsung has also announced the launch of its own mobile payment service in Singapore, joining South Korea, the U.S. and China. Leave those credit cards at home

Payment via Samsung Pay only requires a swipe on any compatible Samsung phone. Bring up the last transacted credit or debit card, scan your fingerprint and authorize payment.

Shop with peace of mind

All transactions go through three levels of security – fingerprint authentication, tokenization and Samsung KNOX. An encrypted digital token replaces user’s personal payment information and payments can only be authorized with a registered fingerprint or PIN. The KNOX security platform also monitors malicious software and activities on the device.

Use it everywhere

Samsung will be partnering with banks like DBS, Standard Chartered and OCBC, as well as American Express, MasterCard and Visa, so that means just about everywhere credit and debit cards are accepted in Singapore. Its industry-leading technology will also make the application compatible with majority of existing and new payment terminals.

Samsung Pay will be available on the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 4G+, Galaxy S6 edge+ 4G+, Galaxy S7 4G+ and S7 edge 4G+ upon its launch in Singapore.
