With the Cannes Film Festival just around the corner, the city’s hotels are already jam-packed. But if you’re lucky enough to find a room, some of the newest options are below.
La Villa
This hotel has been totally renovated and reopened in January, offering a cozy four-star boutique experience. It’s just 50 meters from the beach of La Croisette and richly reflects the town’s movie star glamour.
Close to the Palais des Festivals, centre of the action in Cannes, this spa hotel reopened in March and offers a luxury spa, indoor pool, fitness center, Turkish bath and plenty of food and drink areas to relax. A renovation has left it enlarged, although the pool won’t be in action until May.
This chic apartment complex opened last summer and offers a hammam and jacuzzi in each of the seven units, along with two bedrooms and dressing room. There is a shared pool.
Villa Annette opened as part of the Golden Tulip in February, offering luxury accommodation in a former mansion, with self-catering apartments available to rent. Guests can access services in the main hotel.
L.RAPHAEL Beauty Spa for Hotel Martinez
An extensive spa on the 7th floor of the Hotel Martinez opened last month and offers a range of facials, massages and other treatments, including four programs for beauty, anti-aging, slimming and detoxifying.
Colette was totally renovated last year under the new ownership of Jean-Pierre Bansard, the man behind the InterContinental Paris. It offers 47 rooms just 300 meters from the Palais des Festivals. It earned a fourth star in January this year.
Appart’hôtel Cannes Les Félibriges
This budget property offers 51 apartments in the historic Suquet district, approximately 100 meters from the beach and a kilometer from the Palais des Festivals.
