The Latest Thai Celebrity Brand Ambassadors To Dominate the Luxury Fashion Space

From BTS’s Jung Kook for Calvin Klein to NewJeans, as the face of Levi’s and Metawin Opas-Iamkajorn for Tiffany’s.

We’ve seen our favourite K-celebrities become ambassadors for world-renowned fashion brands; fronting iconic campaigns and runway show looks that go viral overnight. BTS’s Jung Kook representing Calvin Klein broke the internet, while NewJeans, as the face of Levi’s, was an iconic move. In recent years, fashion brands have been slowly expanding their reach in other parts of Asia—most notably, Thailand. Here are some of the top Thai celebrities as brand ambassadors that you might be seeing for the next few seasons.

Win Metawin

Metawin Opas-Iamkajorn is a fixture at fashion events and has endorsed numerous high-end labels including Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Omega. Most recently, the actor made an appearance in Singapore, alongside local celebrities like Iman Fandi and Benjamin Kheng, to celebrate the launch of the new Tiffany Lock jewellery collection.

You may know Thailand’s golden boy from his breakout roles in dramas like F4 Thailand (2021) and the Thai adaptation of Boys Over Flowers. The actor is no stranger to sartorialistic fame, let alone endorsements. With a strong social media presence and consistent ties to fashion, the star has cemented his place alongside K-celebs, like actor Song Kang, and NCT’s Jaehyun, as Prada’s newest brand ambassador at Prada’s spring/summer 2023—a first for a Thai actor. 

Bright Vachirawit

Just like his co-star Win, Vachirawit Chivaaree, popularly known as Bright Vachirawit, made his mark on the global stage after his breakout roles in 2gether: The Series and F4 Thailand. Apart from thriving in the entertainment scene, the Thai actor is also a singer and entrepreneur.

He has amassed a series of endorsements with renowned brands like Gucci, Prada, and Louis Vuitton, alongside modelling ventures with Burberry. It came as no surprise when Bright was chosen as their inaugural South Asia Pacific Ambassador in August 2022. Shortly after, the Thai heartthrob graced the front row at the Brit brand’s fall/winter 2023 show in London, debuting Daniel Lee’s first collection.

Tay Tawan Vihokratana

LOEWE recently appointed multi-hyphenate Tay Tawan Vihokratanaha as their newest friend of the house. The actor, host, and model from Bangkok gained widespread recognition for his role in Love By Chance. LOEWE revealed that Tawan’s ability to connect with audiences and his unique charm make him a perfect fit for the brand. “Working with a house like LOEWE, who is at the forefront of innovation, is a dream come true,” Tawan shares. “Their approach and commitment to creativity continue to inspire me.”

Billkin Putthipong Assaratanakul

Rising star Billkin Putthipong Assaratanakul is well known for his roles as Tao in My Ambulance (2019) and Teh in I Told Sunset About You (2020). He’s also a successful musician, having released music under his own label, Billkin Entertainment, and performing at sold out concerts in Bangkok, China and Hong Kong. Recently tapped by Gucci as their newest brand ambassador, Billkin joins fellow Thai stars Gulf Kanawut Traipipattanapong and Davika Hoorne in representing the brand.

BamBam

Thai rapper and singer BamBam needs no introduction; his fame has skyrocketed since his debut in the South Korean music industry in 2014. His success as a member of GOT7 alongside his solo career has garnered him global recognition and now it seems, has caught the eye of iconic French fashion house Louis Vuitton, who has named him as their newest House Ambassador.

Lalisa Manoban

Thailand’s “It” girl Lalisa Manoban is a busy woman. Popularly known to be a Celine girl, the BLACKPINK dancer and rapper has been making waves on the international stage since their debut in 2016. Having built a strong relationship with the French Maison over the years, the K-pop star was announced as their first global ambassador under Hedi Slimane’s reign in 2018. 

The musician has dabbled in a fair amount of partnerships with other brands like Celine, Mac, Prada and most recently, Bulgari. Lisa was seen in Seoul attending the launch of Bulgari Studio, dedicated to reimagining the B.zero1 icon for its 25th anniversary.

“Blue” Pongtiwat

Blue is a rising actor and star, best known from Thai drama series like Intern in My Heart and Ready, Set, Love. Last September, Blue was a guest at Coach’s spring/summer 2024 show, before setting off as a front-row attendee to Tod’s collection in Milan—establishing himself as more than just an ascending actor, but a fashion superstar.

That same month, Blue began his relationship with Swarovski, making his appearance as the first male Friend of Swarovski from Thailand. He arrived at the brand’s Masters of Light exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art, which showcased the brand’s heritage including crystal-embellished couture pieces from Dior, Gucci and Louis Vuitton.

Davika Hoorne

Davika Hoorne, aka Mai, is renowned for her unique sophisticated style. Flourishing in the world of acting and fashion, the Thai-Belgian actress and model is known for her impressive work in the horror film Pee Mak (2013) and the recent romance series Astrophile (2022).

At Bulgari’s ‘Eden, The Garden Of Wonders’ in Bangkok, Davika was named the Italian jeweller’s House Friend for the South Asia Pacific region. More recently, Davika was appointed as brand ambassador for Gucci and Gucci Beauty—their first-ever Thai ambassador.

Mile Phakphum

Thai-drama actor Mile Phakphum is widely known from his success in Thai boys’ love series KinnPorsche: The Series. Mile has recently been appointed as the first male Friend of the House for Bulgari Thailand, joining fellow Thai artists like Lalisa Manoban (Global Brand Ambassador) and Davika Hoorne (Friend of the House for South Asia).

Alongside his appointment with Bulgari, the KinnPorsche actor and his co-star, Nattawin Wattanagitiphat, better known as Apo, has also been tapped by Dior as the brand’s newest male ambassadors for the country.

Just like Mile, the success of KinnPorsche catapulted Nattawin Wattanagitiphat (aka Apo), into global stardom. The two lead actors scored a coveted Dior ambassadorship, with invites to their pre-fall 2023 ready-to-wear showcase in Mumbai. Having established a special friendship with the house, Dior added that both Apo and Mile “embody the Dior style and spirit locally and worldwide”.

But Dior is not the only fashion house that has tapped Apo into their network of celebrities. The actor was announced as the first ever ‘Friend of the Maison’ for Southeast Asia for Piaget. Apo was spotted with A-listers like South Korean actor Hwang In Youp, Scha Alyahya from Malaysia, and Velove Vexia from Indonesia, for the opening of their first independent boutique at Siam Paragon.

Gulf Kanawut

Gulf Kanawut is already a household name in the Thai entertainment industry and is set to bring his charisma and style to the forefront of the fashion world.

The Thai actor and heartthrob who is known for his effortless charm and impeccable fashion sense perfectly embodies Gucci’s commitment to individuality and self-expression. Known as a friend of Gucci since 2020, Gulf made multiple appearances for the brand’s shows including the recent Milan Fashion Week fall/winter 2024 show and the Gucci Cruise 2024 show in Seoul before stepping into his role as their newest brand ambassador.

After months of speculation and anticipation from fans and the fashion world, the actor joins the ranks of other celebrated Gucci ambassadors including IU, Jay Park and more and he marks the second Thailand artist to be appointed, following the appointment of fellow Thai actress Davika Hoorne.

PP Krit

Krit Amnuaydechkorn, known as PP, climbed to fame after his role in My Ambulance and I Told Sunset About You. The actor then kickstarted his musical career with debut single, it’s okay to not be alright, in August 2021.

In July 2023, the Thai singer-actor was announced as Balenciaga’s first ever brand ambassador. PP expressed his gratitude upon his appointment, saying, “Balenciaga has captured my attention for its creativity and ethical vision, as well as allowed me to express my authentic self and individuality to the world.”

Tu Tontawan

A Thai actress and model, Tontawan is better known for her leading role in F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers (2021). Since her debut, she has appeared in music videos and acted in several series. Despite a relatively recent start to her career, Tontawan is a key player in the fashion industry. She is no stranger to luxury labels, having worked with Burberry, Prada, Miu Miu, and Chanel.

In her most recent conquest with Dior, Tontawan partnered with the French label to promote their Joaillerie collections and Dior Beauty launches. Officially announced as the house’s ambassador for fashion and jewellery, the actress was spotted at the maison’s spring/summer 24 show in Paris, and stuns in new portraits from Dior where she embodies a spirit of femininity and elegance.
