First created by the ‘Picasso of Pastry’ Pierre Hermé, Macaron Day will be celebrated around the world March 20.

While this year marks the 7th edition of the holiday in France, cities like Toronto, Vancouver, London and Budapest will be celebrating it for the first time.

Participating bakeries around the world will be offering customers one free sample macaron for the occasion if you indicate you’re there for Macaron Day.
