Heathrow Airport opens ‘pop-up park’
Heathrow Airport has opened a pop-up park in its Terminal 5 – in an attempt to help passengers unwind before their flight.
London’s Heathrow Airport has opened what they’re calling a ‘pop-up’ park in the middle of one of their terminals where passengers are encouraged to zen out with a specially-designed relaxation menu.
Set inside Terminal 5, the interior park – created with real grass, hedges, plants, and aromatic bushes — gives passengers a sweeping view of the airfield and was designed to help passengers relax and depressurize before going on holiday.
Rosemary bushes, for instance, were chosen because it’s a proven muscle relaxer, while jasmine was planted to enhance travelers’ well-being, pre-flight.
Peckish travelers looking to nosh can also choose from an assortment of dishes curated especially for the relaxation park from among Heathrow’s eateries.
Dining options include a smoked chicken and mango salad from Gordon Ramsay Plane Food, crab maki rolls from Itsu and fish tartar canapés made with Norwegian salmon from Caviar House. The pop-up park runs until Sunday, November 4.
