Bota Bota, a floating spa designed by Sid Lee Architecture, is the latest reincarnation of a 57-year-old ferryboat in Montreal’s Old Port.
The storied ship once operated as a ferryboat between Sorel and Berthier, Quebec during the 50’s and 60’s, followed by a stint as a Richelieu River show boat.
The ship has been completely refurbished into a day spa, featuring five decks fitted with various spa installations.
Featuring all of the amenities, from a seaweed wrap to massages, pedis and manis, an open-air whirlpool and a cocktail bar, the Bota Bota ferry spa offers a most unique guest experience.
As the spa would only float and not travel along the waters, the engines were removed to make way for guest locker rooms.
Visitors can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the city while getting the best pampering in town.
