After Paris, the eagerly awaited retrospective of late French designer Yves Saint Laurent will open in Madrid in October.
The public will discover 40 years of the work of the designer who changed the face of French and international fashion during the 20th century.
The collection will display over 300 pieces like haute-couture and prêt à porter creations, drawings, personal objects, films, photographs and sketches.
Yves Saint Laurent passed away on June 1, 2008 at the age of 71. He bid farewell to Haute Couture in 2002 and was replaced by Tom Ford as creative director of his eponymous fashion house. Ford was followed by Stefano Pilati in 2004.
