Established in 2005, the AsiaSpa Awards continues to be one of the industry’s most esteemed recognitions in the Asia Pacific region.

It aims to set the standards, highlighting innovation and quality.

Resorts, companies, organizations and personalities that take home the much-coveted trophy are deemed benchmarks for this fast-growing enterprise.

The AsiaSpa Awards have worked hard to become known for their independent and uncompromising reputation, building up a name for transparency and objectivity.

They are also the most accessible awards in the region, being completely free, and accessible to all spas, whatever their size, philosophy or Asia-based location.

Categories span the spas themselves, the expertise of the therapist team that practice in them, the treatments they perform, and the products they use.

From an initial 19 categories in the inaugural year, the categories have been increased over the years to 27, including new additions like Spa Design of the Year, Men’s Product of the Year, and Socially Responsible Spa of the Year.

In 2009 they are also introducing Best Children’s Spa Menu, in response to the increasing number of spas geared towards the younger generation.

The list of nominated spas, as chosen by AsiaSpa’s panel of expert judges, will be listed in the November/December issue of AsiaSpa and winners will be announced in the January/February 2010 issue.

The 2008 winners were celebrated at the Grand Hyatt in Hong Kong, which was attended by 350 leaders in the spa trade.
