“Roman Lounge” showcases a selection of bespoke pieces partly conceived in homage to the origami work of Akira Yoshizawa and the steel tubing designs of Ferdinando Innocenti.
It encompasses luminosity, tactile colors in leather and fur and saddlery-like aesthetics. Vertical volumes pay homage to Ferdinando Innocenti, while horizontal volumes reference Akira Yoshizawa’s origami designs.
A combination of neutral colors such as grays, pearls, and slates are blended with chalky pinks, lemons, and dark browns. Finishes are glossy or oxidized brass with splashes of opaque black paint.

The collection also comprises two different kinds of lighting, a horizontal one along the walls of the space and a vertical one from above, two chairs called “Conversation Pieces” and a daybed in shaved mink.
Design Miami runs through December 7.
