The hottest new design hotels in town have been identified with the release of this year’s shortlist for the European Hotel Design Awards.
The hottest new design hotels in town have been identified with the release of this year’s shortlist for the European Hotel Design Awards.
Covering 10 different categories, the awards celebrate the continent’s best-designed hotels.
There are 3 architecture categories — “Adaptive Re-use”, “Newbuild” and “Renovation” — and 7 interior design categories — “Bar,” “Bedrooms and Bathrooms,” “Cafe Bar or All Day Dining,” “Lobby, Lounge & Public Areas,” “Restaurant,” “Spa & Wellness” and “Suite.”
Finalists include:
The “urban jungle”-themed 25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin by Architects Hild und K Architekten,
The W Verbier’s swish metallic “Carve Bar” by Concrete design studio
The “Barcelona Suite” at The Mandarin Oriental Barcelona by the Spanish design magnate Patricia Urquiola.
The winners will be announced on November 25 in London.
